Virginia’s Fairfax County Criminal Justice Academy had 60 graduates in February, four of whom are Korean American.

Shane Oh, John Hong, Arthur Cho and Seung Meang set a record for the most Korean Americans to graduate from this particular police academy according to county officials.

The most recent census has shown that at least 10 percent of the population in the area are Koreans.

Chief of Police, Colonel Edwin Roessler Jr., stated that he “is committed to a diverse police department that mirrors the community we serve.”
