SEOUL, Oct. 4 (Yonhap) — South Korean tech firm LG Electronics Inc. has showcased a new smartwatch alongside its signature LG V40 ThinQ smartphone in the United States, industry sources in Seoul said Thursday.

The company’s first hybrid smartwatch, the W7, combines mechanical hands with a digital 1.2-inch touch display running on Wear OS by Google Inc., they said.

The new wearable tech lasts up to two days on a 30-percent improved battery and can function as a conventional watch without recharging for up to 100 days.

The watch, with a price tag of US$450, comes in cloud silver.

LG Electronic said it has no plans at present to launch it in the South Korean market.
