Lakers Korean SAP returns for 3rd season
LAKERS REGULAR SEASON GAMES AND COVERAGE START TONIGHT ON
TIME WARNER CABLE SPORTSNET AND TIME WARNER CABLE DEPORTES
El Segundo, CA – Los Angeles Lakers regular season games and coverage return tonight to Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes.
The networks will televise their first regular season game tonight at 7:00 p.m., with live coverage of Lakers at Suns beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Time Warner Cable SportsNet with “#LakeShow” and “Access SportsNet: Lakers” and at 6:00 p.m. on Time Warner Cable Deportes with “Lakers En Vivo.”
In their third season as the local TV homes of the Lakers, Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes will televise 74 regular season games apiece.
Korean Secondary Audio Programming (SAP) for Lakers telecasts also returns for the third season with experienced Korean-language broadcasters Paul Lee, Sang Yeol Moon and Young Don Lee calling the games, in addition to the historic, Spanish-language coverage of the team on Time Warner Cable Deportes.
Time Warner Cable SportsNet’s Korean SAP remains the first-ever for English-language television.
All Lakers games on Time Warner Cable SportsNet will be called live by long-time Lakers announcers Stu Lantz and Bill Macdonald and sideline reporter Mike Trudell, with studio coverage led by NBA Hall of Famer and Lakers legend James Worthy, Lakers legends Robert Horry and Michael Cooper, NBA veteran Antawn Jamison, hosts Chris McGee, Jaime Maggio and Kelli Tennant and analyst Dave Miller. Lakers radio play-by-play host John Ireland will also contribute to pre- and post-game programming from STAPLES Center and on the road.
On Time Warner Cable Deportes, all games will be called live by play-by-play announcer Adrián García Márquez and analyst Francisco Pinto. Juan Ignacio “Pepe” Sánchez returns as the in-house Lakers expert in-studio and for courtside analysis. Sánchez is a decorated former basketball player with multiple NCAA records and was a gold-medalist with the Argentinian national team. In-studio network coverage will be led by veteran sports host Ricardo Celis accompanied by well-known local sports personalities including Mario Solís, Beto Durán, Alberto de Roa, Francisco X. Rivera and Nataly Valenzuela. The networks also continue their unprecedented access to the Lakers through extensive live and original programming that takes fans behind-the-scenes of their favorite team.
