Satine’s Jeannie Lee and fashion blogger Chriselle Lim join to open online shop
By Tae Hong
Los Angeles fashion hotspot Satine Boutique owner Jeannie Lee and fashion blogger Chriselle Lim are joining hands to open an online shopping destination.
Satine carries items that are intended to have a hand in creating the Los Angeles lifestyle look instead of being a shop filled with trendy items, Lee said.
It’s the same philosophy she plans to implement with the online shop: a place to find Angeleno style.
Lee has run the famous boutique — a longtime Hollywood favorite boasting A-list clientele – since 2003. It’s a mainstay of the fashion-forward West 3rd Street and has expanded to two more locations in Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
Lee said she considered opening a Seoul shop as she began collaborating with K-pop idols.
But the memory of a failed Satine shop in Tokyo’s Aoyama fashion district in 2008 held her back and steered her toward e-commerce.
Raised in Alabama and a law school graduate of Pepperdine University, Lee is also an actress and writer. She’s currently working on a television script about a Korean American female lawyer with the working title “Broken Justice.”
Find the shop online at satineboutique.com.
