Even Max Scherzer (10-8, 2.33) could not cool down the streaking South Korean shortstop. Kang Jung-ho went 2 for 4 for the sixth straight game as the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Washington Nationals 7-5 at home Friday night.

Nationals’ All-Star right-hander had thrown no-hitter against the Pirates just last month, but Kang made sure early nothing like that was going to happen again on this day. After the first four batters had gone down in order, Kang delivered the first hit (a single up the middle) for the Pirates and Pedro Alvarez followed with a gigantic two-run home run just two pitches later.

Kang added another single in the fifth to bring up his season batting average to .289.
