After South Korean golfer In Gee Chun closed out a KLPGA major in her home country, she moved to the world No. 9 spot.

She made a splash just weeks ago after winning the U.S. Women’s Open, which put her in the top-10, but she was then pushed out after a week illustrating just how close the standings are among professional women golfers.

The ranking is well-earned for the 20-year-old who has won major events in Japan , U.S. and South Korea.

She will finish up her season on the KLPGA, but has formally announced that she will join the LPGA in 2016.

Four other South Koreans are currently in the world top-10 including No. 1 Inbee Park, So Yeon Ryu, Amy Yang and another 20-year-old rookie sensation Hyo-Joo Kim.
