Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin threw 20 pitches during a bullpen session on Sunday, according to CBS Sports.

He has not thrown off a mound since his shoulder injury occurred on March 17.

The good news is that he is reportedly throwing without pain, but the bad news is that there is still no reliable timetable for the lefty’s return.

If Ryu continues with no pain, his main priority will be building up strength in his throwing arm. Assuming he goes through a standard timeline for a rehab assignment, the South Korean could be back in the Dodgers starting rotation by late May.

“It’s a matter of getting him strong,” said manager Don Mattingly. “He didn’t feel anything, he’s had no problem. The process is going good and we’ll let it play out.”
