Dodgers’ starting pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin skipped a team workout Wednesday due to a mid-back tightness.

Ryu had thrown the day before during a bullpen session and the current prognosis is that it’s only a minor strain.

“I kind of expect this is not going to be a lingering thing,” Mattingly told the Los Angeles Times.

During the offseason, Ryu vowed to be more careful with how he treated his body during a press conference in Seoul, South Korea. The 27-year-old set a personal goal to pitch at least 200 innings in the upcoming season.

“I think I am going to have to take care of my body better in the winter,” he said. “I will start my offseason training earlier than before and focus on preventing injuries.”
