‘Cheese in the Trap’ movie to star actor Park Hae-jin

SEOUL (Yonhap) — Actor Park Hae-jin, who starred as the lead character in the TV series “Cheese in the Trap,” has been cast for the same role in the upcoming movie adaptation, the film’s publicist said Tuesday.
The movie will be jointly produced by Mountain Movement, a South Korean production company, and its Chinese partner Hanwei in Shanghai, HNS HQ said in a statement.
Park, who played the enigmatic male protagonist Yoo Jung in the South Korean cable TV series, will stay on for the college romance flick.
In “Cheese in the Trap,” the only woman who can see through Yoo’s friendly facade finds herself falling for the very guy she had told herself to avoid.
Mountain Movement and Beijing Liuhe Sinuo will invest in the production, with China Film Group Corp. and Xingmei taking charge of distribution.
Filming will start in early 2017 for a release sometime in the summer.
